FAQ

Common questions about membership, our strategies, and how the platform works.

Membership

4 questions
What is included with my membership?

Membership provides access to our library of systematic investment strategies, along with implementation guidance, updates, and ongoing maintenance as strategies evolve.

How much does the membership cost?

Strategy subscriptions are $100/mo each, billed monthly. Visit our pricing page for the current list of available strategies and subscription options.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes. Membership is billed monthly, and you can cancel at any time. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

Are there any additional fees?

No. Your membership fee covers access to the strategies and ongoing updates. Your broker may charge its own trading commissions or account fees depending on the platform you use.

The Strategies

5 questions
What are systematic investment strategies?

Systematic strategies follow a predefined set of rules for entering, managing, and exiting investments. Decisions are based on research and objective criteria rather than emotions or market predictions. See our Learn guide on systematic investing for DIY investors who keep capital in their own brokerage accounts.

Are these strategies backtested?

Yes. Every strategy available on the platform has undergone extensive historical testing before being released to members. While backtesting cannot guarantee future results, it provides valuable insight into how a strategy has performed across different market conditions.

Do you use these strategies yourselves?

Yes. The strategies offered through the platform are developed for use within our own portfolios before they are made available to members.

How often are strategies updated?

Strategies are reviewed and maintained on an ongoing basis. If changes are required, members will receive clear instructions explaining what has changed and why.

What does "Min. capital" mean on a strategy page?

Min. capital is an estimate of how much capital you would need for the strategy's historical excess return over its comparison benchmark to roughly cover that strategy's monthly subscription fee. For lump-sum strategies it is shown as a single portfolio size; for DCA strategies it is shown as an initial amount plus a monthly contribution. It is derived from backtested CAGR figures, not a guarantee of future results, and it is not a required minimum to subscribe or follow a strategy.

Getting Started

4 questions
Do I need trading experience?

No. While a basic understanding of how to use a brokerage platform is helpful, our strategies are designed to be straightforward to implement. We provide clear guidance to help members get started.

How much time does it take?

Most strategies require only periodic review and implementation rather than constant market monitoring. The exact time commitment depends on the strategy you choose.

How much money do I need to start?

There is no minimum investment required by us. The amount you choose to invest is entirely your decision and should reflect your own financial situation and risk tolerance. Where shown, Min. capital on a strategy page is only a fee-coverage estimate based on backtested excess return versus the strategy's comparison benchmark—not a required starting amount.

Do I need a specific broker?

Our strategies can generally be implemented through most major brokerage platforms that provide access to the required markets. We will outline any platform-specific requirements where applicable.

Risk

3 questions
Are returns guaranteed?

No. All investing involves risk, and no strategy can guarantee future returns. Past performance, including backtested results, should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future performance.

Can I lose money?

Yes. Investing always carries risk. Our goal is to provide disciplined, thoroughly researched strategies, but market outcomes cannot be predicted or guaranteed.

Is this financial advice?

No. The information and strategies provided through the platform are educational and informational in nature. Members remain responsible for their own investment decisions and should consider consulting a licensed financial professional regarding their individual circumstances.

The Platform

3 questions
Why do you charge a monthly membership instead of a percentage of assets?

We believe members should keep the benefit of growing portfolios. Our membership fee remains fixed regardless of portfolio size, allowing you to continue building your wealth without increasing management fees as your investments grow. See our Learn guide comparing flat fees versus percent of AUM.

Who is this platform for?

This platform is designed for individuals who want access to professionally researched, rules-based investment strategies without spending years developing them on their own. It's ideal for investors who value disciplined processes, transparency, and a systematic approach to investing. See our Learn guide on how Kairos membership works end to end.

Why don't you simply manage my money?

Our goal is to provide the research, systems, and ongoing strategy development while allowing members to retain full ownership and control of their own investment accounts. We believe this creates greater transparency, flexibility, and independence while allowing each member to decide how much capital they wish to allocate to each strategy.
